After-School & Summertime Programs
The Great Explorations program provides hands-on learning, enrichment, field trips and family-involvement activities after school and in the summer. Designed to boost children's academic performance and development, activities are open to children in grades 6-8 at the Public Schools of Calumet-Laurium-Keweenaw; grades K-5 at Houghton-Portage Township Public Schools; and grades K-8 at the public schools of Chassell, Dollar Bay-Tamarack City and Lake Linden-Hubbell.
