The Great Explorations program provides hands-on learning, enrichment and
family-involvement activities after school and in the summer. Designed to
boost children’s academic performance and development, activities are open
to children in grades 6-8 at the Public Schools of
Calumet-Laurium-Keweenaw; grades K-5 at Houghton-Portage Township Public
Schools; and grades K-8 at the public schools of Chassell, Dollar
Bay-Tamarack City and Lake Linden-Hubbell. Modest user fees help to
support the program and scholarships are available. For more information, contact
