How will my gift help
children?
Your gift will help children and families in many ways.
The money you contribute will support critical
activities that are not funded directly through grants.
Examples include providing scholarships for children,
updating technology and facilities to support a quality
learning environment, and helping BHK plan and implement
innovative programs that respond to pressing community
needs.
Who decides how my gift is
used?
You can either choose a specific area to support or you
can let the Foundation’s independent Board direct your
gift to where the need is greatest. The Foundation Board
is initially allocating 50 percent of unrestricted gifts
directly to BHK for planning and operational expenses
and 50 percent to an endowment to support long-term
sustainability of programs.
How may I make a gift?
Tax-deductible gifts may be made in several ways:

Park Avenue, Houghton, Michigan 49931.
-
Planned gifts through estates, wills or trusts as
well as donations of goods or services may be
